RPA8000 FANUC

Robotic printer applicator cell with FANUC LR Mate 200 and Vanomation Printronix T8000.

The RPA8000 is designed to accurately place barcode labels from 1.0”W x 0.5”L up to 8.5”W x 11.0”L on packages and pallets. The RPA8000 ships as a complete system ready to be positioned against the conveyor system to begin applying labels with a minimum of effort.

The RPA8000 is a standalone robotic printer applicator cell with an industrial robot (currently the Yaskawa Motoman GP7 with the FANUC LR Mate 200 shipping in 4Q20.) Created using Vanomation’s XYZ patent, the RPA8000 eliminates the requirement for a separate controller network by embedding the spatial coordinates for the label directly into the label data print stream. This guarantees that each label will be placed on the right product in the right location.

The Vanomation RPA8000 is comprised of five core components: The Vanomation Robotic Controller, the Vanomation Thermal Barcode Printer, the Vanomation Steel Frame Cell, the industrial robot and the robot controller.

RPA8000 Features

Single operator control display panel

Automatic and manual printing modes

Automatic robot pause with Estop and safety door

Dual printer/label tray for easy operator/maintenance servicing

Variable placement of label based on pallet/package size

Accurate placement of label within 0.1” or 2.5mm

The RPA8000 may be configured with options for safety zone, high throughput label printing, uninterruptible label printing, validating label application, barcode data verification and dynamic label placement

OPTIONS FOR RPA8000 FANUC

SAFETY ZONE (SAF)

Standardized safety fences and light curtains to disable robot operation in the event of human intervention

HIGH APPLICATION THROUGHPUT (HAT)

Configures a second robot arm in the cell to increase the speed of package throughput

UNINTERRUPTIBLE PRINT PROCESSING (UPP)

Configures a second printer in the cell to ensure that there is no downtime while labels are loaded or printheads are replaced

VALIDATE APPLIED LABEL (VAL)

This hardware option ensures the label has been applied to the pallet or package

BARCODE DATA VERIFICATION (BDV)

This hardware/software option ensures that labels have been applied correctly and the data can be read from the barcode on the label

DYNAMIC LABEL PLACEMENT (DLP)

The vision/3D profiler is a hardware/software option that detects package size and orientation to determine where to correctly place the label
